Snow is dropping, and so are new styles! Just like the season, winter fashion is changing with many throwbacks to the past. Colors and patterns are making a comeback, moving beyond the “millennial gray” and returning to the 2000s, and even the 90s. From tortoise shell to leopard, zebra, and countless other animal patterns—whatever print you’re looking for, it’s trending! These patterns are especially popular fur-like hats, gloves, and coats.
On the topic of coats, trench coats are a classic staple piece that have always been popular. However, peacoats, specifically double-breasted high-neck ones commonly in plaid, are in, along with coats, shawls, scarves, and pashminas, which are all popular to accessorize with!
For shoes, Uggs are always trending, and knee-high boots are making a comeback among teens. Even thigh-high boots are coming back this year.
We even see this throwback to vintage with Hollister’s new holiday vault release, reviving its line from the 2000s. Hollister even revived its old logo for this line and released its old baby doll tops.
White sweaters with skirts are very popular this season. From plaid to black leather to your classic jean skirt, pair them with a crisp button down, a cardigan or even your favorite with a cozy oversized white sweater. Maybe throw on some of those knee-high boots to complete the look.
With snow falling and old trends rising, this winter proves that style never truly goes out of season!
