Class of 2026 Salutatorian Chloe Krawczak is heading to the University of Pennsylvania this fall, majoring in Materials Science and Engineering. She hopes to work somewhere in the field of engineering, specifically in materials research. Here at Wayne Valley, Chloe is president of our chapter of Tri-M, the music honor society, and is a varsity athlete for ski racing (sixth in the state), cross country, and track and field.
When asked what her favorite class is at Wayne Valley, Chloe responded, “It’d have to be band with Mr. Rusca, but I also loved AP Human Geography with Mr. Flower!” Chloe has been Wayne Valley’s exclusive oboist since her sophomore year. However, her favorite teacher is “100% Mr. Schulman; I’ve had him for the past three years in physics and as a coach for track.”
When asked what piece of advice she would give to her freshman self, she said, “I would definitely tell my freshman self to try a ton of new things and see what sticks.” When asked if she has any regrets, she replied, “While I think reflecting on the past is important to help me move forward, I don’t actually regret anything. I believe that all the actions that I’ve taken happened for a reason and I wouldn’t be where I am today without them.” Finally, when asked what she will miss most about Wayne Valley, she said “I’m going to miss my friends and teachers who have supported me these past four years; they’ve influenced me in so many positive ways, and I am greatly thankful for all that they have done for me.”
As Chloe embarks on her journey to UPenn, her impact at Wayne Valley will not be forgotten, especially in the music department, where she has carried the oboe section for three years, and the girls ski racing team, where she has taken back countless titles. Good luck to Chloe, and thank you for all you have done!
