Halloween Activites

This Halloween, there are many fun activities for friends and family to do besides trick or treating. From staying home and watching spooky movies to going to Fright Fest, there are nearly endless options on this scary Holiday!

The first fun Halloween activity is for any extroverts who love to watch scary movies. From Thursday October 19th to Tuesday October 31st, HBO is hosting a 13 Nights of Halloween marathon. The movies start from 7 am to 12 pm, each day throughout the whole 13 days. Among the featured movies are The Addams Family, Sleepy Hollow, Edward Scissorhands, The Nightmare before Christmas, Frankenweenie, and many more! Among the featured marathons are a Tim Burton movie marathon on October 23rd and a Hocus Pocus marathon on October 31st. Have fun watching, ghosts and ghouls!

If you’re the type of person who loves dressing up, then the Village Halloween Parade in NYC is for you! It’s a fun parade where everyone dresses in their spookiest costumes and walks down Sixth Avenue in Manhattan. If you want to participate, you have to dress up in a cool costume, or they won’t let you walk. Or, if you’d like to only watch this spooky parade, find a good spot on Sixth Avenue before the show starts! The parade is on October 31st, starts at 7pm, and ends at 10:30. Happy marching!

If you like being scared, a fun activity, which is a little closer to home, can be found at Six Flags Great Adventure in Jackson, New Jersey. This fun event, named Fright Fest, is a great way to set the tone of your Halloween! There are many fun things to do, including 7 scary mazes to complete. There are also several scare zones to go through, where you will be scared by zombies and ghosts! Some more attractions include The Haunted Heist, The Manor, and more! Don’t get too spooked, and have fun this Halloween!
