Wayne Valley sophomore, Sarah Rodrigues, has qualified to compete at the 2024 Olympic Trials. Rodrigues swam a 2:12.66 in the 200 Meter Backstroke on June 10th.

Rodrigues has swam since she was a small child. Since the start of her swimming career, she has held many records and has many accomplishments. For example, she raced in the U.S. Open for her club team. At Wayne Valley, she broke multiple school records including school records in the 100 backstroke, 100 butterfly, and 200 IM. Rodrigues also broke the Passaic County records. Even with her fame, she still comes back to her youth swim team, the Packanack Lake Swim Club, where she holds records in both back and fly.
