One of the best things you can do for your college resume is join more clubs! If you are interested in becoming a leader or entrepreneur for a career in marketing, finance, hospitality, or management, DECA is the club for you. DECA stands for Distributive Education Clubs of America. The teacher advisor is Mrs. Brown, and it is led by the President Zachary Leshik. There are Vice Presidents of Hospitality, Marketing, Finance, Career Development, and Leadership, as well as three secretaries, one community service manager, and one social media manager. 

In this club, you will take a test during the school day that asks you questions based on your chosen business category. After this test, every member will go to Ramapo College on January 13 to compete in the business Role Play competition. Members can compete in Business Management and Administration, Entrepreneurship, Finance, Hospitality and Tourism, Marketing, and Personal Finance Literacy. At this event, you are expected to dress in business attire, with suits and dress shoes. Along with the competitions, DECA holds many fundraisers, including the Chipotle fundraiser, and other money-raising events. This club is extremely fun, educational, and looks very respectable when applying to colleges or other business roles. Meetings for DECA will be held during lunch and after school.
