Distributive Education Clubs of America (DECA) is a worldwide business club that allows hundreds of students to compete at a state competition. If they qualify, they will proceed to the national competition. Here at Wayne Valley, we have twenty-three students who are going to Atlantic City, NJ, from March 3rd to 5th. Five students qualified simply from their outstanding combined scores in the role play and test. The seventeen others who are still passionate about participating completed a twenty-slide presentation called a pitch deck (rather than a role play) to qualify for the next competition. The New Jersey DECA states competition is held from March 3rd to 5th for students to showcase their business expertise. We will be travelling to Atlantic City and spending two nights in a hotel before we travel back to Wayne Valley! We are all so excited to put our learning to the test and try our best to qualify for nationals!
