After a successful fall season, Wayne Valley is eager to see what’s to come during the 2021-22 winter season.

Last year’s county champions, girls basketball looks to take on another exciting year. With last year’s record being 13-2, Coach Sinram and the girls took first place in the Independence Division and look to advance to the championship this go around. Boys basketball had a record of 10-2 during the 2021-21 season, also taking first place in the Independence Division.

Ever since both of the Wayne highschools combined to become the Wayne Knights Hockey Team, talented hockey players from both sides of town have been able to show off their skills on the ice. Already racking up wins, the Knights already have a good start to the season and hope to continue their streak.

After an unfortunate 2020-21 season, the wrestling team looks to improve their skills. With the addition of female wrestler Fiona Gough, the team is more diverse than ever and eager to succeed.

The ski team is looking forward to getting back out on the slopes for their winter season. With most of their races in January, the team is looking forward to getting in some good practice before winter break.

Wayne Valley boys fencing will face Wayne Hills as their first match of the season. They defeated cross-town rivals last year 18-9 and finished their season with an 8-2 record. Girls fencing had a record of 5-5.

Last year, both boys and girls swimming, came in third in the Freedom Division.
