For many of us, getting volunteer hours is a tough task. With busy schedules, you are burning yourself out while getting volunteer hours. To make matters worse, some organizations like the Hugh O’Brian Youth Leadership Foundation (HOBY) require 100 hours of volunteer service, making it seem impossible to finish the requirement.
Contrary to popular belief, there can be an easier way to knock off community service hours. A summer camp at Schuyler Colfax Middle School is offering a whopping 40 hours of volunteer service. Field Day Sports Summer Camp is dedicated to ensuring kids ages 6-13 make friends and enjoy the sports they participate in for 2 weeks. The day camp takes place from 9 A.M. to 12 P.M. on weekdays during July 7th-11th and July 14th-18th. With summer being less stressful and having more free time, summer is a great time to get some volunteer hours while having fun!
Field Day Summer Sports Camp is only as good as our counselors. As a counselor, you’ll build lasting relationships with campers, help them feel welcome, and create a positive, inclusive atmosphere. Your energy and leadership will inspire kids to make friends, try new things, and have an unforgettable summer. Plus, you’ll experience all the fun every day, just like when you were a kid! This isn’t just a summer job, it’s an opportunity to lead, inspire, and make memories. Field Day Sports Camp is packed with excitement, and you get to be the one to make it all happen!
