Do you like peppermint, cocoa, or coffee? Well I am here to guide you on the best holiday drinks. Since it is the season for fun drinks, there are many options!
During the holiday season, Starbucks is a really popular place to get holiday drinks from! Starbucks offers a variety of holiday drinks such as, the Peppermint Mocha, Cran-Merry Orange Refresher, Caramel Brulee Latte, Iced Gingerbread Oatmilk Chai, Iced Sugar Cookie Almond Milk Latte, and the Chestnut Praline Latte. Wayne Valley math teacher Mr. Kelly likes the peppermint mocha from Starbucks. In fact, this is a common answer for most Starbucks fans.
Just like Starbucks, Dunkin Donuts also has many holiday drinks. Bella Vargas, a student from Valley, says she enjoys “peppermint mocha from Dunkin.” At Dunkin Donuts there is also a variety of holiday drinks, such as, Cookie Butter Cold Brew, Spiced Cookie Iced Coffee, Peppermint Mocha Cold Brew, Brown Sugar Cookie Oat Iced Chai Latte, Toasted White Chocolate Iced Signature Latte, Peppermint Mocha Iced Signature Latte, Holiday Cookie Iced Signature Latte, and all of these but hot.
So if you are feeling for an extra sweet drink definitely try out Dunkin but if you are looking for a nice festive but not as sweet drink I would definitely recommend trying Starbucks.
On the other hand, some people do not want to venture out so instead they make their own. When a student at Wayne Valley High School, Adisa Ramani, was asked what her favorite holiday drink was, she said she liked making hot chocolate using the Trader Joe’s powder with milk. Physical Education teacher Mr. Hampton says he prefers eggnog from a store.
There is also another option to make your own homemade hot chocolate. Here’s a simple recipe. You will need, 4 cups milk (preferably whole or 2%) ¼ cup unsweetened cocoa powder, ¼ cup granulated sugar, ½ cup bittersweet or semisweet chocolate chips or chopped chocolate bar ¼ teaspoon pure vanilla extract. There are many different ways you can celebrate the holidays using festive drinks. Whether it is buying from a store, or doing it home, it is the festivities and the spirit that counts!
