Emphasis Creative Writing Contest
This spring, the Emphasis Spring Creative Writing Contest is starting up! This contest is for anyone at Wayne Valley who is interested in submitting a writing piece that falls under the genre of poetry, short fiction, or nonfiction. You do not have to be in the Emphasis club to participate. This contest is a great way to practice writing skills and to try something new. Each winner can get their work published as well as a cash prize for winning. The overall winner gets $20, first place for each category gets $15, second place gets $10, and third gets $5. These winners and honorable mentions will be chosen by Mrs. Solomon, as well as the Editor-In-Chief and the Junior Editor. The deadline for submissions is approaching very quickly, the last day for submissions is March 24.
