Cross-Town Model UN Conference

Cross-Town+Model+UN+Conference

On January 23, 2020, Wayne Valley hosted the second annual cross-town Model UN Conference in the library with Wayne Hills. Both Model UN Clubs prepared for this conference throughout the school year by reviewing the procedure for writing position papers, resolutions and the regulations for a debate and a caucus. This meeting was meant to simulate an actual United Nations meeting.  Each school had a wide variety of countries represented. Topics discussed included youth involvement in the Paris Agreement and women’s role in government. At the end of the conference, awards such as “Best Position Paper” and “Best Diplomat” were given to the most deserving students.
