What was your inspiration?

My inspiration for my whole concentration is travel and adventure because I go to a lot of fun and interesting places with my family and friends.

When did you first get interested in art? Why? 

When I was really young I guess. I’ve always taken art classes, like throughout elementary school, but when I was in 4th-5th grade I really started to fall in love with it and be involved. Art is just something I enjoy doing and spending time on.

Are you planning on doing anything further with your art in the future? If so, what? 

Yes, I’m going into college for art; I’m going in, as of right now, for art therapy,  but you never know if it might switch to art education or something similar. 

What would you tell someone who wanted to take AP art and do a similar project?

I would definitely tell them to focus on what you want to do and make sure you are set on it because changing your concentration is a very big deal and a hassle to do.

What advice would you give someone who is interested in pursuing a career in at?

Definitely make sure that that is what you are in to and that you understand all the aspects of art; you have to use your creativity for everything and make sure you know and perfect the technical skills needed.

What was your inspiration?

My concentration is on age, and how portraits change as you grow older. I’m showing the differences between a young child and an adult and a teenager, and how your emotions are reflected in your facial expressions as you develop as a person. 

What is your focus? Why?

My focus is to show how age changes one’s facial expressions, I guess because I’ve always paid attention to people’s reactions and expressions. 

When did you first get interested in art? Why? 

I first became interested in grade school, but in middle school, I didn’t get into Windows Art so I didn’t have any art in my life. When I got the chance freshmen year to take an art class it was very exciting for me and is why I’ve stayed interested in it. 

Are you planning on doing anything further with your art in the future? If so, what? 

No, Art is something I enjoy doing for me and it’s relaxing; it’s not something I plan on making a career out of. 

What would you tell someone who wanted to take AP art and do a similar project?

I would tell them to definitely do it; it’s a good way to break up your day, just to concentrate on art. Portraits is a really hard concentration to go into, but if that’s what you’re passionate about then go for it. 

What advice would you give someone who is interested in pursuing a career in art?

You have to make sure that this is what you’re passionate about because it is a hard field to be successful in. It’s all about your own creativity and originality. If it’s what you want then go for it.
