Exploring Fall

 

Fall  is a time of transition from summer to winter. It is a time when school starts and believe it or not everyone begins the countdown to next summer. With the beginning of school and the depression that follows, many of us are trying to get away from it all and enjoy what fall offers. Here are three ideas to break the end of summer blues.

At Masker Orchards in Warwick, New York,  you can drive right up to an apple tree and start picking. You can bring all the picnic items you need, set it up in the fields and enjoy being in the country. The view of the entire 200 acre valley will take your breath away especially with the foliage all around. It is a great place to bring family and friends. Maskers can be considered more  than an apple orchard as it has barnyard baby animals, pony rides and wagon rides.  They even have their own shop where you can get apple pies and scrumptious apple cider donuts.  

Emery’s Farm (http://www.emerysfarm.com)

This family owned farm is located in New Egypt, New Jersey. Emery’s has grown and sold blueberries, corn and sunflowers for 50 plus years. They have fresh pies baked daily . You can also find jellies, preserves and spreads at the store. During the fall season, you can enjoy Hayrides, Kid’s Corn Maze , Straw Bale Maze and many pumpkins to pick from. Emery’s also has farm animals that will bring the kid out of anybody!

Six Flags Great Adventure Fright Fest

For those brave enough to dare, Six Flags located in Jackson , New Jersey,  has its annual Fright Fest now to October 31st.   You can bring all your family and friends to experience the spooktacular shows and fall decorations. They have special attractions just for the Halloween season like the Spooktacular Street Party, The Skeletons, Just My Rottin’ Luck, and Trick -or -Treat Trail. At night,the  demonic zombies take over the streets, ghouls will sneak up behind as you walk the midways and the coasters are made much scarier in the pitch dark.  So whether you want to go pick some apples, buy some delicious blueberry pies or get scared, there are many different options to keep this fall entertaining.  123aaaa 123aaaa 123aaaa
