Mole Day 2016

Another year……another Mole Day!!  The chemistry department located on the second floor of the new wing celebrated Mole Day on October 21st.  There were many special demonstrations!

Mole Day is actually October 23rd. It is Avogadro’s number. Amedeo Avogadro is best known for his hypothesis that equal volumes of different gases contain an equal number of molecules, provided that they are at the same temperature and pressure. Unfortunately, his hypothesis was rejected by other scientists. After his death, his hypothesis finally gained acceptance after his death. It is now called Avogadro’s law.
