Throughout most of my time in high school, I didn’t know much about Smoke Signals: all I knew was that it was a school newspaper that sent out copies each marking period. During my junior year, I had Mrs. Nazarko and heard more about Smoke Signals. I was always interested in writing and editing newspaper articles, so I figured I’d give it a try. Occasionally, I would write an article, but I found my real passion was in cover design and photo editing. I designed numerous covers and edited many pictures before posting them in articles. My time in Smoke Signals was fairly short, but it was fun and I learned a lot. I’m very glad that I joined.
