The Wayne Valley High School DECA Club, under the guidance of advisors Mrs. Brown and Mr. Miller, participated in the New Jersey DECA State Career Development Conference held at Harrah’s Resort in Atlantic City from March 4-6, 2025.

Junior Gavin Benner said, “It was a great experience for both me and my friends who were able to make this competition with me… DECA has been a really fun and helpful club helping give us ideas and being able to be here is amazing.”

This conference brought together over 4,000 students from across the state to compete in various business and marketing events. Some students qualified for the competition through previous testing ang role play events at the District Competition at Ramapo College in January. Others created business and marketing plans to present to judges in Atlantic City.

All of the students took advantage of the opportunity to participate in this event in order to challenge themselves, network with other students throughout the state, and enjoy the time with their Wayne Valley classmates.
