Lauren Magenta: Class of 2018
How does a brand become a brand? Lauren Magenta, a Wayne Valley graduate, digital creator, and owner of Magenta Media, helps small businesses grow their brand through content creation and social media. Ever since Magenta was younger she had the personality of a natural leader and a visionary.
At Wayne Valley, Magenta was always on the move, whether it was for TV, working, or volunteering. Her work ethic and her heavy background in television production, which she took her sophomore year throughout the rest of her high school years, set her apart most in her field. At a young age, she was very creative and had a good eye, which gave her the ability to tell stories effectively.
After graduation, she attended Ithaca College majoring in Marketing and Communications, and Ramapo College majoring in Journalism and Communications. While attending Ramapo, she was a part of The Ramapo News and Ramapo Television. Soon after, she had multiple jobs for high-end companies such as Martha Stewart Living, Omnimedia, Refinery29, Clearblue, Daily Harvest, Fage, Headspace, and so many more.
This led her to start her own company Magenta Media in 2019. She helps all brands, big or small, to tell their story. Twice a year, Magenta helps 10 female entrepreneurs build their brands and tell their stories. With her, they see brands grow, help improve sales, or bring some attraction to their brand. According to Magenta, the aspects of storytelling and building a brand are some of the most rewarding aspects of her job.
