Stacy Goldstein, a proud graduate of Wayne Valley, has had an inspiring career path. In college, Goldstein originally set out to become a doctor and was on the Pre-med track. However, as time passed, she realized that the medical field was not the right fit for her. This led to a big change in direction, and she decided to pursue a career in the beauty industry. She currently works for the famous cosmetics company L’Oréal.
What Goldstein enjoys most about her job is being able to create a product and see customer’s response and satisfaction levels. The feeling of knowing that someone buys a product she helped create is one of the most enjoyable parts of her job. She explains that she is very passionate about all things beauty. One of her most memorable work experiences was the opportunity to work abroad in Paris at the headquarters of L’Oréal.
Before reaching where she is today, she emailed many different companies asking to intern for them and landed an internship at the company Cargo Cosmetics. This internship played an important role in helping her build her skills and knowledge before working with L’Oréal.
Now that she is older and wiser, Goldstein says if she could speak to her high school self again she would say, “Have fun and do not take things too seriously!”
