AP Testing

The hallways were a little bit quieter in the beginning of May with this year’s AP season. After two weeks worth of exams, the typical student stressors like homework and college planning have started to slow down. Although these exams are notoriously difficult, it is certain that they are a satisfying conclusion to a year’s worth of college level courses. One AP student, Matthew Pritchard, says that with the end of testing, “a great weight has been lifted off of [his] shoulders, and butterflies fill [his] tummy in preparation for July!” Many Valley students can attest to that same feeling of relief as they enter the summer months.

The general consensus is that this year’s hardest exams were AP Physics 1, AP Biology, AP Chemistry, and AP Literature. To those who took those especially hard exams, congratulations! Moreover, the philosophy behind AP exams has been debated regarding its ethicality, and many argue for the banishment of all examinations, or the relaxation of others; overall, AP exams are a very tough test of integrity, intelligence, and overall perseverance beyond the learned material.

Our student body is now officially preparing for the summer!
