Take This Class: Senior Internship

The Wayne Valley Senior Internship is a course for seniors who desire hands-on experience–and class credit. Valley offers five, ten, and fifteen course credit opportunities, which count as one, two, or three class periods. Although this is open to all incoming seniors, many upperclassmen are unaware of this opportunity. The class only started two years ago, meaning that the curriculum is new. The internship follows the block rotation and is a full-year course. The course doesn’t require any prerequisites other than finding your own internship opportunity. There is also not much classwork other than the internship itself; the only work is to maintain an hour log, and a written two-hundred-word paragraph per marking period. I hope that many seniors take this opportunity to gain experience and learn more about their intended major!
