Wayne Rotary 5K
On Saturday, May 21st, the Wayne Rotary Club held their annual 5K run and one-mile run/walk in order to raise money for the Wayne community. This year, the money was raised for Wayne’s cross country and track teams, and many students of the Wayne Valley track team participated to help support their team. The race began on Carol Place, near the Our Lady of the Valley Roman Catholic Church parking lot, and looped through Andover Drive. Our Wayne Valley runners were very successful: senior Ryan Peña, sophomore Matt Califf, and junior Sean Matthews won first, second, and third place, respectively, in the overall male category. Additionally, senior Isabella Vasquez won third place in the overall female category. Great job to all who participated!
