Wayne hosts a Relay For Life every year. Recently, Wayne had a kickoff is to start the fundraising season on January 8th.

For the past few years ver eighty student volunteers from both high schools will help run Relay For Life. This year the leads are Louis Messercola from Wayne Valley and Kyla Gallipoli from Wayne Hills. Both were the co-leads from last year’s event. The leaders picked three others to be this year’s co-leads, Julia La Sala, Bridget Gonzalez, and Leah Caruso.

The fundraising activities by raffling off baskets including one with passes to the Tom’s Lake facility in Wayne which our mayor donated. By the end of the night, group raised $874 in total at the kickoff.
