Keep your Eyes on the Road

His eyes looking into mine

With questions and anger combined

I keep looking straight ahead

Leaving the truth unsaid

His hands grip harder on the wheel

Not knowing how to feel

Worry and guilt don’t match my fit

Yellow, cheetah print with a slit

My hair matches my attire

His eyebrows growl, becoming dire

I know I have to say something quick

But I keep my lips sealed with my light nude lipstick
