Wayne Valley and Wayne Hills High Schools will have new synthetic turf fields soon because the current fields are reaching the end of their useful life. The current fields are eleven years old. The measure was voted on and approved during the regular Wayne Board of Education meeting on April 11th.

The full project will include upgrades to the fields such as new logos for the schools and sports. They will also help and inspect different areas of the fields.

These upgrades will be financed through a partnership with the Passaic County Improvement Authority. The estimated cost of the project is $1,025,000.
