Plans for the Summer
As another school year comes to an end, many people have begun to plan out their summer vacation. After the hard work put into school, it is time for a break. Now, this break could mean different things to different people. To one person, it might mean to go to the beach every day and hang out with your friends, while to another person, it could be to stay home and just relax. However, because the school year is ending, some people are moving on to their next stage in life, which is to go off to college and move away. This can be tough for seniors because of the relationships made throughout the year, but all I know is that my summer plans are to enjoy what I have left with my big sister. Of course, that doesn’t mean those are my only plans. I plan on relaxing, hanging out with friends, and preparing for the incoming school year. But, if you are someone with a sibling or relative leaving for college, I personally would recommend devoting at least a couple of hours during the week to spend with them so that when the time comes, they will know that you matter most to them. So go see a movie or go to an arcade or do all of the things that interest you. But don’t forget what matters most, and that is family. To all of the seniors, good luck in college. To my sister Samantha, I look forward to seeing you move on with a good future ahead, and I’m glad to be spending this summer with you.
