World Geography is a 5 credit full year course open to all students 9-12. Students will establish a good foundation in the physical aspects of geography, learning about the cultures of many nations while understanding how Americans fit into this global village. Ryan Hayes, senior, suggests taking World Geography because of the variation the class has. “The class is broken into segments, and we focus on different regions of the world and study their culture, religion, climate, and surrounding countries. It’s a great class to take if you have an interest in geography or culture and if you are looking for a stress-free environment. You are always able to complete work in class if productive, and projects are informative and enjoyable.” Freshman Ally Marchese further elaborates by saying, “Mr. Bower is amazing and is always extremely helpful. There is no homework assigned unless you need to make something up. You get to learn about different countries and see how they do things. The assignments are also so fun, and you do different mapping activities, which are very cool to see about other places.” Lastly, sophomore Izan Majagah sums up with this about the course: “It is excellent, and a top 3 class for me. Don’t get it twisted– there will be work and difficulties, but at least you will have a fun teacher like BOWER!!”
