Your One and Only Guide to Autumn
October 17, 2022
Grab your coats and your sweaters— it’s yet again that time of year! The leaves are in the peak of its change, the planet is cooling itself off after a long, droughty summer, and the vibes are all-around immaculate; it’s the perfect time to get out and get moving. I, Matt, will be your personal trainer for this season, to help you make the most out of what is inarguably the best time of the year.
Before we get into all of the fun stuff (I’m not exactly saying that this ISN’T fun), we first need to get your wardrobe prepared for the upcoming change in weather. Shake the dust off of your sweaters, your cardigans, your coats, we’ll definitely need those. Pull out that one pair of jeans you love, or those boots you got for Christmas two years ago that you haven’t stopped wearing since, the weather fits them just perfectly. After you’ve done all of this, you’re ready to continue on your path to the best autumn yet.
Now, it’s time for us to get active. Try to go for long walks as often as you can and take in the scenery— it’s a once-a-year opportunity after all. Go for runs, ride your bike, try to do as much as you are able to before it gets too chilly and you’re forced inside by the cold winds of the winter. As a suggestion, one of my personal favorite things to do is to take walks around Packanack Lake, watching as the trees slowly grow a golden hue to themselves.
Because we’re also a little festive, I absolutely cannot forget to mention the endless variety of activities made available by the season change. Apple picking, pumpkin carving, and hayride enjoyment are all staples of the world’s “golden hour”. Don’t be afraid to try something new, as well. Pick up a new hobby, learn to bake, or learn an instrument; autumn is the season of change, after all.
This is now where my assistance comes to a conclusion. I’ve given you all you may need to know to enjoy this season to the fullest, so get out there and enjoy yourself. With autumn now here, your opportunities are endless.
