Dreaming about A Midsummer’s Night Dream

On April 20, Wayne Valley was visited by the Shakespeare Company of New Jersey. The group tours around New Jersey to perform Shakespeare’s work in different schools. The Shakespeare Company performed the beloved classic,

m for Wayne Valley’s junior class. A Midsummer’s Night Dream follows the story of Greek lovers, magic, and mischief.

There were seven actors in total and each played three roles: one Athenian, one fairy, and one of the mechanics. The costumes and set were in a steam punk style, with the main set piece being a clock. After the show, the cast answered questions from the audience. The performance was excellent and kept the audience laughing the entire time. Junior Keben Molina mentioned that his “favorite part was when Puck uses the magic flower to make everyone fall in love with each other accidentally.” The show was a huge success and Wayne Valley is grateful for the opportunity to see this outstanding performance.
