Many tenth grade English classes celebrate the end of The Great Gatsby by having a party of their own. Each student did one of three things to gain participation credit.

1. They dressed up as a party goer, a character, or as a symbol from the book.
2. They could bring in party favors or decor that go with the 1920s or the scenes in the book.
3. They could bring in food from the NYC area, food from the 1920s or first introduced in the 1920s or foods that were important to the book.
