This year the football team had an incredible season such as winning the first out of state game which was held in Pennsylvania. This year the team was filled with tremendous talent that fulfilled great things. A big accomplishment made by the football team this year was making it to MetLife Stadium after nine years. They clinched a spot to the finals with a big win over Randolph 43-24 during playoffs. On Sunday December 4th Wayne Valley battled Wayne Hills for the North I Group IV NJSIAA Championship. Although the football team had a heartbreaking loss in overtime, the entire football team played with passion, heart and intensity. One of the most exciting games this season ended in regulation with a 24-24 tie. However, during the first overtime period, Wayne Hills scored a touchdown and secured a 31-24 win.

A big congratulations to Coach Kotlarz and his entire staff, for an amazing season that everyone is beyond proud of. As Mr. Drozjock stated “Win or lose we do it with character”. Although, this was a heartbreaking loss we are all extremely proud of this team for all of their amazing accomplishments throughout the season. Also, another congratulations to all of the seniors for their achievements, this was an outstanding group of boys who were extremely talented and will not be forgotten. Good luck to all the seniors who plan on continuing to play in college, Tribe 65 will be one for the books.
