Boys Lacrosse Cares: Raising Money for Pediatric Cancer!

The boys lacrosse team is hosting a team fundraising campaign to help stop childhood cancer. On May 8th, they invite the whole school to wear yellow to the boys lacrosse game at 4:30PM! Yellow is the color of pediatric cancer awareness and the color of awareness for Ewing’s Sarcoma.

Proceeds from the snack bar AND proceeds from the sale of T-shirts and socks will be dedicated to a local boy whom many of you know, Jake Rudd. Jake played lacrosse for the Wayne PAL and summer club lacrosse for many years before having to battle cancer. You can purchase a t-shirt and socks on May 4th, 5th and 8th during lunch periods. Shirts are $15 and socks are $10.

The boys are also helping the Children’s Cancer Institute by raising funds for critical research and programs through the Tackle Kids Cancer campaign. Pediatric cancer is the number one cause of death by disease among children in the United States.
