National Honor Society Induction

The Wayne Valley chapter of the National Honor Society inducted its newest members on October 13. Over 100 juniors and several seniors joined Wayne Valley’s largest community service organization.

The evening began with a speech from Ms. Solomon, the club’s adviser, discussing the expectations for the new inductees. Zachary Spodek and Carrington Park, the chapter’s president and vice president, then spoke, highlighting the theme for our chapter: the satisfaction of service. Carrington and Zack lit candles to represent each of the pillars of the organization: scholarship, service, leadership, and character. Mayor Vergano also said a few words about what community service means to him and this town.

The inductees received their certificates and the closing remarks were given. The new chapter of service members were born!
